what type of residential (new or remodel)? The concrete pile guys here have cut their $ so low we do not try to compete on new. Ypur only hope is when vibration is an issue with the neighbors, we do a lot of swimming pools due to vibration issues.

The "segmented concrete problem makers" have cut their own price so low that they cannot even make money. To gain market share they have been cutting their prices for years and to help maintain a profit they have cut their quality also.

Many of them are now testing and using steel piles, both helical and pressed, to combat the law suits that have risen from sub standard work. They know they have to change their ways and since you cannot raise prices after lowering them they are switching systems.

Several manufacturers, including Olshan, have been testing and installing steel pile systems trying to get away from the lawsuits. The lawyers are not letting them off the hook just yet though.

As the lawsuits pile up we all will be seeing a shift away from segmented concrete piles toward steel piles.

When installing many piers, how are the piers kept at the same level? How is this measured and how are they cut off?
